OZJF endorses Lox & Loaded, a Jewish-owned firearms education and preparedness group. The two organizations are separate. We recommend its work, but the endorsement has clear limits.
What Lox & Loaded is
Lox & Loaded describes its work as firearms training, legal education, and community preparedness for Jewish Americans. Its about page emphasizes lawful ownership, safety, situational awareness, and the legal use of force. Readers considering a class should review the program’s own materials and requirements directly.
Why we back it
We endorse the program for two reasons.
Jewish Americans have legitimate safety concerns. The FBI’s hate crime statistics allow readers to examine religion-based hate-crime data. The Anti-Defamation League’s 2024 Audit of Antisemitic Incidents reported the highest annual total in the audit’s history. People responding to that environment deserve lawful, responsible information rather than fear-driven improvisation.
Training is better than improvisation. Lox & Loaded presents its work as education within state and federal law. OZJF supports that emphasis on training, legal limits, and responsible conduct. It does not support vigilantism.
How we scope the relationship
OZJF does not fundraise for Lox & Loaded or accept money from it. Neither organization speaks for the other. Our role is limited to a public endorsement and a link to the program’s own information.
If that changes, we will say so on this page and on the governance page.
What this does not mean
Endorsing firearms education is not a call to arms or an endorsement of vigilante action. It does not express a position on a political party or government policy. Lox & Loaded provides preparedness education. OZJF publishes advocacy and research. The relationship is limited to their shared concern for Jewish American safety.
